Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 5-6
Brandi Cope, West Washington Street, Lisbon, reported at 1:01 a.m. Monday she and her ex-boyfriend shared a four-wheeler and now he will not return it. He reportedly threatened her about coming to his property and gave her a phone number to reach him, which is a wrong number.
Paul Brewer, Lisbon Road, Leetonia, reported Friday he came home on Wednesday evening to find a note on his back door stating the UPS had delivered a package at this front door. It was a Lenovo laptop, which neither Brewer nor his wife ordered. Checking further they found his wife’s credit card had been charged $857 for the computer. Brewer stated they also have been getting call notices from Fed Ex telling them no one is home when the company comes to pick up a package for delivery in New York. The credit card was canceled and information was provided for identity theft victims.
Jason Ours, Mick Road, Wellsville, reported at 8:37 a.m. Friday someone entered his unlocked vehicle overnight and took items, including his wife’s purse. Ours called deputies again at 9:08 a.m. to report the neighbor’s lawn care company found the property taken from his car in the bushes next to their home.
Desiree Czapski reported a domestic dispute at her parent’s home on Campbell Road, Hanoverton, at 9:34 p.m. Sunday. The couple told deputies they are in the process of separating and had an argument, but there was no violence.
Billy Brown, Endley Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:57 p.m. Saturday someone broke into his tool shed and garage at about 8:15 p.m. Friday. Brown told deputies he heard a knock on his door as he was lying on the couch and asked who was there, but no one answered. He went to the window and saw tail lights of a car leaving his driveway. Brown checked his garage and tool shed the next day and found a push lawn mower, Sawza, impact wrenches, hand tools, rotozip, router, router table, a green black and decker drill and two jig saws missing.
Connie Cline, Ellyson Road, East Rochester, reported at 5:29 p.m. Sunday sometime in the last day and a half someone shot out the window on her dog’s box.
Rebecca Thompson, Lisbon Canfield Road, Leetonia, reported at 11:16 a.m. Sunday she wanted someone removed. Deputies found Mark Menough in the driveway, who told them his niece came to visit him and he owns the property. However, his tenant, Thompson, has a no contact order against Menough’s niece and the niece also has a no contact order against Thompson. The niece, Crystal Westover, was gone when deputies arrived.
Randy Brown, Seigler Road, Salineville, reported fraudulent charges on a debit card at 11:45 a.m. Saturday.
Cynthia Moore, U.S. Route 62, Beloit, reported at 3:18 p.m. Sunday while she was at the Damascus Friends Church between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sunday her purse in her car was taken. The purse contained a Droid phone with a pink case and two checkbooks from Farmers Bank.
