St. Clair Township Police Reports for 4-28

While on patrol Thursday, an officer spotted a vehicle sitting near the soccer fields on McCoy Avenue, and as he approached reported seeing something being thrown out the passenger window. The vehicle had a strong odor of marijuana, he reported. The driver was Michael B. Beasley, 26, and his passenger was Shari J. Welther, 21, whose addresses were not reported. Officers searched around the vehicle and located a suspected bag of marijuana hanging from a stick and said Welther admitted having thrown it and also produced another small bag of marijuana. Beasley reportedly told officers he gave the bag of marijuana to Welther to throw out the window. Both were charged with possession of marijuana.

Officers responded to Walmart for a shoplifter, with an investigation pending.

Michael S. Ferguson, Bell School Road, reported the passenger back door window broken out of a vehicle overnight Wednesday.

A television and game system was reported stolen from the Kline residence, 16920 Annesley Road.
