Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 4-26

Sandra Sattler, Dunn Road, East Liverpool, reported at 10:45 a.m. Tuesday she found someone used her Home Savings and Loan debit card to make purchases at a Columbus Kroger store both within a minute of each other on April 18 for $70 and $56.

Betty Moore, Dunn Road, East Liverpool, reported at 10:37 a.m. Tuesday someone used her personal identity to open three accounts for utility services. She received a bill from Verizon for more than $800 and has never had a cell phone. She also received a bill from Penn Credit, a collection agency for Mountaineer Gas, claiming she owes $1,026 in past due charged for a home on Cove Road, Weirton W.Va., where she has no residence. Moore also received a bill from Convergent Collection agency, claiming she owes nearly $700 for Dish Network for a residence in the Echo Dell trailer park.

Deputies checked on a 4-year-old child staying with her father on Crestview Road after her mother called on Tuesday evening and reportedly found her daughter, who had recently had surgery, was crying. The child was found eating at the dinner table, appearing not to be in pain and not crying.

Vivian Frisbie, Padgett Road, East Palestine, reported at 4:33 p.m. Tuesday her vehicle parked at the sheltered workshop on County Home Road was struck by a vehicle driven by Charles E. Grubbs, state Route 45, Lisbon, while he was pulling from a parking space. Both vehicles sustained damages.

Diana Good, Forest Street, Lisbon, reported at 4:10 p.m. Tuesday she placed four $50 bills in her china cabinet on Thursday and when she went to get the money on Tuesday it was missing.

Melissa Harrison, Riffle Road, Rogers, reported at 1:14 p.m. Wednesday she lived with her boyfriend since 2006 and they purchased a trailer together. She moved out in 2008 for a couple months, but then moved back in remaining since then. She believes the trailer, which had been titled in her name, was changed to her boyfriend’s name in 2008 and she wanted to file charges. Deputies explained it may be a civil matter.

A 15-year-old Pass Lane, Lisbon, girl reported at 10:09 p.m. Tuesday her mother and stepfather were having a loud argument she was afraid was going to escalate. Deputies spoke to the mother, who said her husband had been drinking and got upset because she wanted a dog. He told deputies he could not take his wife harassing him constantly about getting a dog. The wife decided to leave for the evening and signed a refusal to prosecute her husband for spitting in her face during the argument.

Brett Clingerman, Scroggs Road, Lisbon, reported at 4:06 p.m. Wednesday his wallet was lost or stolen. He last saw it on Monday night at Pondi’s. He canceled his cards.
