Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 4-2

Glenn Hostetter, Woodville Road, Columbiana, reported at 3:25 a.m. Monday there was a domestic dispute at a neighbor’s home. Deputies spoke to Jennifer Fitzsimmons, who said her husband came home intoxicated and an argument ensued. He reportedly pushed her multiple times, grabbed her by the hair and threw her against a car. Jason Fitzsimmons, was charged with domestic violence.

Melissa Bowdish, Gray Court, N.C., reported at 5:53 p.m. Sunday she believes someone hacked her 12-year-old son’s Facebook page and has been posting comments about other children. The boy lives in the Leetonia area. Deputies told her to contact Facebook and have them shut down the account.

Donald LeMasters, Rose Drive, Lisbon, reported at 7:30 p.m. Monday he was having problems with neighborhood children. LeMasters also spoke with the manager of the apartments, who told the children to stay away from LeMasters.

A domestic dispute was reported at a Hoopes Road address at 9:18 p.m. Monday. Deputies spoke to Rick Faulkner and his girlfriend. She had been upset and yelling at him, because he told her to move out. Both signed a refusal to prosecute.

Virginia Brown, St. Jacob-Logtown Road, Lisbon, reported at 7:59 p.m. Monday someone stole a dismantled 2004 red and white Honda XR100R dirt bike from a barn she rents on Dobson Mill Road.

Julie Bertram, Homeworth Road, Alliance, reported at 11:49 a.m. Monday a former friend posted something on Facebook saying she needs to get a gun and kill her, but was not specific about who the “her” was. The former friend also accused her of stealing from her son when Bertram went to the woman’s house to try to get money back, which her former friend had borrowed. The son had told Bertram his mother was not home and Bertram told deputies she left.

Cassandra Perry, Gaston Road, Negley, reported at 1:17 p.m. Monday there were three cows wandering through the front lawn. The cows headed toward Henderson’s farm on Sprucevale Road. Deputies contacted the Henderson family, who offered to see if any of their herd was missing and collect the strays if they were theirs.

Ralph Liebert, Grant Street, Lisbon, reported at 12:19 p.m. Monday he believed someone attempted to steal the catalytic converter off his car. It was not taken, but he found evidence someone attempted to get under the vehicle.

Steven Raneri III, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported on Monday that 22 16-foot posts were taken from his property sometime from March 24-29. The posts had been strapped together for about four years and would be weathered with strap marks on them. He also knows someone has been attempting to sell the posts to local farmers.

Steve Landis, state Route 7, Lisbon, reported Monday sometime between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday someone stole a new grill and propane tank from his front porch.

Dave Waseman, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, reported at 8:49 a.m. Monday both his and his girlfriend’s cars were tampered with during the night. His antenna was bent and someone pulled the hood release on his girlfriend’s vehicle. There was also a dent on the gas tank filler lid.

Mary Jane Thompson, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, reported at 7:15 a.m. Monday her neighbor’s horses were on her property.

Rosemary Koehn, Center Road, Alliance, reported at 7:15 a.m. Sunday she and her family are moving and she had multiple people over helping them. Later she found her purse missing. Then on Monday she reported she found the purse.

Bonnie Mauch, Lower Elkton Road, Columbiana, reported at 11:48 p.m. Sunday a suspicious person walking up the road. Deputies found a younger man, who said he was walking to a friends house to help his friend out after his friends got into a fight.
