Columbiana County Municipal Court for 4-29

In Columbiana County Municipal Court, a May 5 preliminary hearing was set for David L. Todd, 42, East Lincoln Way, Lisbon, charged with felonious assault for allegedly throwing a brick at Amber Possage narrowly missing her and then hitting her several times before running off on Sunday.

James L. Heverly, 41, South Ellsworth Avenue, Salem, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court grand jury on a charge of receiving stolen property. Heverly is accused of attempting to sell $2,977 in copper wire to Downtown Metals on April 8, after the wire was allegedly taken from U-Go Auto Sales.

Daniel J. Kadar, 59, Hillcrest Road, Wellsville, was fined $730, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 40 hours of community service and attendance at a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense, lane violations and a seat belt violation.

John J. Roberts, 56, Groveport, was fined $755, sentenced to three days in jail, required 30 hours community service and had his license suspended for six months for OVI refusal with prior within 20 years and a seat belt violation. Both an OVI first offense and a lane violation citations were dismissed.
