St. Clair Township Police Reports 3-11

An officer was sitting stationary Friday at the intersection of Lyle Street and Wyoming, watching traffic at a stop sign about which complaints had been received. He noticed William D. Barrett, 53, Wyoming Avenue, come from inside the house and checked to see if he had any outstanding warrants. He learned that Barrett had a warrant for telecommunications harassment and took him into custody. Barrett’s son, Justin R. Barrett, 24, same address, came outside and questioned why his father was in custody. When the officer explained about the warrant, the younger Barrett reportedly began yelling and swearing at him, telling the officer at one point he would “get” him if he saw him in a bar downtown. When the younger Barrett went inside, shutting the door, the officer called for assistance since he knew there were several people inside the home. When other officers arrived, Justin Barrett was taken into custody and charged with menacing.

Officers were called to Wyoming Avenue Thursday for an unresponsive 33-year-old man who reportedly took an unknown drug and overdosed. Officers arrived to find family members performing CPR on the man, with North Star Critical Care paramedics arriving on the scene and taking over. The ambulance crew was able to revive the man, who was transported to the emergency room.

Donna M. Mikita-Parsons, Sprucevale Road, reported someone tampering with her mail. She was advised to speak to her attorney if she believes this is being done by a person she knows.
