Residents report vehicles burglarized

COLUMBIANA – Several residents in the Edward Circle area outside Columbiana reported early Wednesday their vehicles were broken into overnight.

Anson Sage, 42114 Edward Circle, reported at 4:38 a.m. Wednesday there were suspicious footprints in the area. A deputy found footprints leading to many of the vehicles in the area. Sage told deputies someone entered two of his unlocked vehicles, stealing two Garmin GPS units.

Deputies noticed footprints leading in the garage of Laura Gardner, 42162 Edward Circle, and spoke with her at 5:55 a.m. Wednesday. They learned both of her vehicles inside the garage had been entered. An iPhone Lifeproof case was stolen from one of them.

Others in the neighborhood began also reporting stolen items, many from unlocked cars.

Melissa Huff, 42277 Edward Circle, reported a Garmin GPS valued at $200 was stolen from their vehicles, which were unlocked. Justin Gordon, 42249 Edward Circle, also reported two of his unlocked vehicles were broken into with an iPod, GPS and a pair of sunglasses stolen.

Dave Evans, 42201 Edward Circle, reported someone broke into his car but nothing was taken. Shawn Zentner, 42238 Edward Circle, reported someone entered his vehicle overnight taking an outdated GPS unit.

Bernie Bennett, 161 Redpath Drive, a connecting street to Edward Circle, reported sometime overnight someone entered his unlocked vehicle and took $20.
