Man accused of attempting to rob convenience store arrested

LISBON – The man accused of attempting to rob a convenience store and gas station in Wellsville over the weekend has been arrested.

Bryant M. Allen, 22, Independence Square, Wellsville, was arraigned Tuesday morning in Columbiana County Municipal Court.

A March 27 pretrial and preliminary hearing was set for Allen, charged with aggravated robbery and felonious assault for allegedly attacking Joe Wallick, the owner of For Your Convenience gas station on Sunday morning.

According to reports, Allen struck Wallick with a crowbar and fought with him during a long struggle.

Additionally Allen was charged with criminal trespassing for allegedly going inside a home on Independence Square in Wellsville after he was previously ordered not to go there. He was fined $30 for a seat belt violation.
