Columbiana County Sheriff Reports 3-9

Calvin Pollock, Carpenter Street, St. Clairsville, reported at 2:29 p.m. Thursday someone punched him in the back with a spring punch while he was at a gun auction at Rogers Sale on Nov. 26 and stole a bank envelope from his pocket.

Tracy Goddard, North State Street, New Waterford, reported at 5:59 p.m. Thursday someone took the nameplate off her mother’s headstone at Cresthaven Memorial Cemetery.

A possible fight between a man and woman was reported at 10:39 p.m. Tuesday on Beeson Mill Road in Fairfield Township. No people or fighting, however, were found upon investigation.

Scott Greaves, Wallace Road, East Palestine, reported a burglary at 11:19 a.m. Friday. After investigation, he learned his son, who has behavioral problems, ransacked his house and flipped over the television before going to school. The boy’s mother also said the child admitted to ransacking the house.

Bill Clark, state Route 644, Kensington, reported at 12:45 p.m. Friday his neighbor’s chickens ran loose. A deputy later advised Clark there is no ordinance against chickens running loose according to the Ohio Revised Code.
