Columbiana County Municipal Court for 3-5
In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Tuesday, Frederick W. Heldman Jr., 57, 15th Street, Wellsville, was fined $755, had his license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to five days in jail for OVI first offense, plate light, left of center and a seat belt violation.
Steven M. Howard, 28, Fairfield School Road, Leetonia, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days and was sentenced to three days in counseling for OVI first offense and lane violations.
Thomas C. Comer, 28, Canton, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days and required three days in counseling for OVI first offense and speeding.
Ryan D. Armstrong, 29, Beaver Creek Road, Salem, was fined $525, had his license suspended for six months, required 50 hours community service and sentenced to six days in jail for OVI first offense and failure to control.
Toni Donnelly, 43, Winona Road, Salem, was fined $250 and required 25 hours community service for driving under suspension.
Andrew L. Diaz, 23, Mick Road, Wellsville, was fined $250 for improper handling of a firearm after a deputy found Diaz with a Hi-Point, 9 mm, Model C9 in the back seat of his vehicle on Nov. 22 with a loaded magazine laying next to it, spent casings and a box of American Eagle ammunition. An assault charged was dismissed due to difficulties locating the alleged victim. Police alleged Diaz attempted to get into Ryan Garretson’s home after threatening on Facebook to kill him and pushed Rebecca Meredith aside by the throat in order to get inside.
Jacob B. McEldowney, 27, Carey Road, Salem, was fined $150 for no license amended from driving under OVI suspension.
Aleksandar Pavlovic, 27, Cicero, Ill., was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from commercial speeding.
Latasha Y. Sherman, 42, Columbus, was fined $105 for speeding and driving under suspension.
Christopher D. Zepernick, 33, Hawley Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 for driving under suspension.
Ethan T. Surgenavic, 37, Youngstown, was fined $100 for no license amended from driving under suspension.
Laura M. Crowell, 28, Lake Front Drive, Beloit, was fined $100, credited with three days served and ordered to pay $50 in restitution to Justin Kastonek for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for striking Kastonek in the head with her hand, which was encased in a hard cast.
Christopher J. Wallace, 28, County Home Road, Lisbon, waived his right to an extradition hearing. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety. He will return to Pennsylvania where he failed to appear on charges which include attempted criminal trespassing for breaking into a structure, burglary, attempted burglary and criminal mischief for tampering with property.
Krista Schrode, 19, Pleasant View Drive, Lisbon, was credited with one day served for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for striking Rachel Mullett in the chest multiple times and pushing her.
A domestic violence charge was dismissed against Dennis Caldwell, 25, Wood Street, Wellsville, who was accused of pulling Cristina Swain back into a home, grabbing her by the throat, choking her, throwing her down a hallway, grabbing her by the hair and dragging her down the hall on Jan. 13. The charge was dismissed due to the unavailability of the alleged victim.
A flashing red light citation against Charles A. Czapski, 50, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, was dismissed.
An April 1 pretrial was set for Tracie Duffield, 37, South Vine Street, Columbiana, cited with reckless operation suspension and failure to control.
An April 3 pretrial was set for Beth A. Hays, 22, Prospect Street, Salem, cited with criminal damaging for allegedly throwing Robyn Parrish’s cell phone against a wall during an argument.
An April 8 pretrial was set for Kara M. Birkhimer, 22, Seacrist Road, Salem, was cited with OVI first offense and speeding.
An April 9 court trial was set for Jaymelyn Williams, 24, Girard, charged with theft for allegedly taking $100 out of a plastic bag at a jewelry party at the home of Erica Williams and hosted by Anita Souders.
An April 29 pretrial was set for Nichole L. Haynes, 25, Camelot Drive, Columbiana, driving under suspension, speeding and child restraint.
