Wellsville Police Reports for 1-14

On Jan. 8, Brandy Jackson came to the station at 11 a.m. to report an incident on Second Street at Lisbon Street by Heaton’s Tire Shop. According to Jackson, she was stopped at the stop sign behind a burgundy Dodge sedan, which backed into the front of her 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier numerous times before driving off. Damage to the left-front of Jackson’s car was noted.

John Henderson of State Route 45 came to the station shortly before noon Jan. 4 regarding a vacant rental home he owns on Chester Avenue. Henderson told police that copper water pipes and the water meter were taken from the basement area of the house between Dec. 24 and Jan. 3, when he discovered the theft. Henderson said he found a rear door unlocked, which he had locked when last he was there.

Police responded to 18th and Nevada streets for a call from a motorist, Brittney Bissell, who stated that while driving north on Nevada Street, the driver’s side window of her 2008 Ford Focus was shot out by a pellet gun. After pulling to the side of the road, Bissell said she saw two juveniles in a yard, and a man identified as the boys’ grandfather came to the car and apologized. Police went to the suspect home on Nevada Street and spoke to the juvenile with the gun, who said that it was an accident, and he had aimed for a tree. The juvenile’s mother agreed to pay for the damage and turned the BB gun over to officers.
