Wellsville Police for 1-4

Police went to the Maple Avenue residence of Debra Jackson at 3:14 p.m. Dec. 23 for an alleged assault. Debra Jackson and Victor Gaetano said that Spencer Kidder came into the home without permission and punched Gaetano in the face while Gaetano sat holding a child. Gaetano, who had a swollen eye, said he then gave the child to Jackson and proceeded to punch Kidder in the face, holding him down until he agreed to leave the house. Kidder was located at his Maple Avenue home bleeding from the mouth, so officers called for an ambulance. Kidder stated that he went to Jackson’s house to confront Gaetano about an argument he had with Kidder’s son. He said Jackson had waved him inside the house. Kidder admitted to smacking Gaetano lightly in the face before being struck by Gaetano. After being discharged from the hospital, Kidder was charged with assault and criminal trespassing.

Following a traffic stop at the intersection of 11th and Commerce streets, Patrolman Saraniti and K-9 Chief were called for a narcotics sniff at 10:47 p.m. Dec. 22. With four vehicle occupants secured, Chief indicated at the right rear door, prompting a vehicle search that turned up a suspected marijuana seed and two suspicious plastic bags. The driver, Sean Hudson, then admitted to having smoked marijuana in the vehicle “a few hours” earlier.
