St. Clair Township Police Report for 1-25

Grace C. Wilkinson, 83, no address listed, finished her lunch at Wendy’s and accidentally left her purse behind when she left. Employee Sheri L. Andrews, 38, no address listed, reportedly picked up Wilkinson’s purse and took it behind the counter and, upon finishing her work shift, took her own purse and Wilkinson’s and left. These events were reportedly caught on surveillance video, and police reported finding Wilkinson’s purse at Andrews’ home. Andrews was charged with petty theft.

Ruth J. Brown, Summerset Drive, reported a television stolen from her home.

A man wearing a black coat and hat was reportedly seen stealing steaks and shrimp from Walmart and entering a black Jeep.

Officers were called Friday to an Echo Dell Trailer Court residence for a possible overdose. A man was taken to East Liverpool City Hospital by North Star Critical Care ambulance.

Employees of Smith Oil on East Liverpool Road reported a tall, white, ugly man wearing a hoodie and plaid pajama pants driving a newer model Ford Focus drove off without paying for nearly $34 worth of gasoline.

Walmart officials reported a man abandoned a shopping cart filled with totes and lids at the exit and entered a vehicle. Officers found the man in a vehicle, but he denied being inside the store. Store security personnel identified him as the person they saw, also saying he had been seen over several days taking other items, including a blender and trying to take a television. He was told to not return to Walmart property or face arrest and the man signed a no trespass notice.

Jessica Chapman, 34, no address listed, was charged Wednesday with petty theft after reportedly being caught trying to take two coffee machines from Walmart

A Walmart manager reported Wednesday seeing two men taking two blenders and two coffee makers valued at more than $735. When confronted, the men dropped the items, with one fleeing on foot and the other in a vehicle that officers learned was registered to an East Liverpool man who could not be reached.

Officers were dispatched Friday to the Frank Bursick residence on East Liverpool Road to remove a person, with no other details reported.
