Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 1-28
Debbie Brown, Main Street, Rogers, reported at 12:20 a.m. Monday suspicious people were walking around her vehicle and when they noticed her at the house window, they fled in a silver, four-door car. She checked her vehicle and it did not appear they were able to get inside.
Deputies checked on a woman at the Roseland apartments at 5:42 a.m. Monday after she reportedly made numerous threats on her own life on Facebook. She was hysterical and would not speak with deputies. Another woman told deputies the woman had not taken her medication. A rifle with no ammunition and a crossbow with six arrows were placed elsewhere for safekeeping, while the woman was taken to the Salem Regional Medical Center for evaluation.
Charlotte French, Virginia Avenue, Minerva, reported at 6:15 p.m. Sunday her 40-year-old son was there yelling and screaming. He broke a window on the screen door and left claiming they would never see him again. She wanted someone to check on him at a garage in Minerva.
Leslie Davis, Jimtown Road, East Palestine, reported at 4:56 p.m. Sunday her ex-boyfriend has been coming to her home, texting her and calling her. Deputies contacted the ex-boyfriend, who said they have a child together and he still cares for Davis also. Deputies explained she does not want him there, but he should go speak to an attorney to set up visitation with his son.
Jeremiah Patterson, Alderlick Road, Wellsville, reported at 11:07 a.m. Sunday a former employee had entered his home without permission. The man had previously lived there and Patterson believes he took numerous tools while he was staying there.
Scott Miller, U.S. Route 30, Minerva, reported at 7:55 a.m. Sunday his neighbor has someone plow the driveway and the person dumped some snow onto his property. Miller said he went out to tell the driver to stop plowing the snow onto his property. The driver reportedly told him to go back in the house and he should worry about more important things.
A woman identified only as Mrs. Gerald Evans, Knox School road, North Georgetown, reported a man wandering in the area at 3:36 a.m. Sunday. Deputies checked the area, but did not find him. She told deputies he had laid down in her yard, before he took off on foot. Deputies then found the man begin dropped off at his home.
