Columbiana County Sheriff Reports for 1-22

Jessica Gulette, Buck Road, Alliance, reported at 12:06 a.m. Tuesday two people she knows are threatening her. Gulette claims she was with her sister at Walmart in Alliance when the two people began yelling and carrying on toward them. Then she began receiving threatening Facebook messages and her sister received threatening text messages. Deputies called and warned the people to cease, also telling Gulette and her sister not to contact them.

Tiffany Walls, Dunn Road, reported at 8:13 p.m. Monday her 13-year-old son does not listen to her or respect her. Deputies explained to the boy if he continues his mother can file unruly paperwork against him in juvenile court. He apologized to his mother.

Heather Higgins, Y and O Road, Wellsville, reported at 9:24 p.m. Monday a man was at her back door earlier, twisting the door knob before leaving in what Higgins’ son described as a 1990s model Chevy extended cab truck with large tires.

Mike Castelucci, Trinity Church Road, reported at 8:54 p.m. Monday someone stole noodles, sausage and miscellaneous canned food from his home.

William Carr, Wildwood Drive, Beloit, reported at 7:15 p.m. Monday he found a man on his property with a black Impala parked at the end of his driveway. Carr chased the man off. Deputies were unable to locate the vehicle.

An anonymous caller reported a logging truck parked on Teegarden Road at 4:09 p.m. Monday, blocking the westbound lane. Deputies found the vehicle just east of McCracken Road and explained to the crew parking there was a traffic hazard. One member of the crew stopped running the forklift and started directing traffic.

Marion Zeppernick, Winona Road, Salem, reported at 7:21 p.m. Sunday someone was trespassing on his property. He followed footprints in the snow, which went around to all his dogs and then to the neighbors’ property. Deputies spoke to the neighbor, who said he just went over to check on the dogs when Zeppernick was not home and gave them water and food if they needed it. He was concerned because the cold was making it hard to keep fresh water for the dogs.

Doris Adney, Glasgow Road, Lisbon, reported at 9:16 p.m. Friday someone has been walking around her Glasgow Self Storage units. Deputies found by the footprints that someone had walked around all the units and then crossed state Route 45 where a vehicle had been parked. Only one of the units was unsecured and deputies informed Adney who called the renter of that unit so they could see if anything was taken.

Bill Lewis of Sparkle Market, state Route 45, Lisbon, reported at 1:31 p.m. Sunday there was a theft at the store. The matter is under investigation.

Paula Jewell, Hibbetts Mill Road, Wellsville, reported at 11:30 p.m. Friday her daughter’s ex-boyfriend was at the home causing a disturbance and she wanted him to be removed. Deputies found there was a warrant for the ex-boyfriend, Andrew Hunley, and he was taken to the county jail.
