Columbiana County Municipal Court for 1-17
A Jan. 21 preliminary hearing was set in Columbiana County Municipal Court, for Narcisco Lopez Hernandez, 22, East Third Street, Salem, charged with assaulting a police officer. A pretrial was also set for Jan. 21 for charges of resisting arrest, OVI first offense, expired license, hit skip and failure to control. Bond was continued at $50,000 cash or surety.
Hernandez is accused of striking a parked pickup with his car late Monday and then assaulting an auxiliary Salem police officer attempting to take him into custody.
Christopher P. Jennings Jr., 20, West Middletown Road, Salem, was fined $575, had his license suspended for six months, credited with one day served in jail and sentenced to 29 additional days for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and underage consumption. A speeding citation was dismissed.
Herbert L. Hebron, 39, Park Avenue, Leetonia, was fined $575, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 44 hours community service for driving under suspension, break lights, possession of marijuana and marijuana paraphernalia.
Brandon Organ, 18, Fairfield Avenue, Columbiana, was fined $220 and had his license suspended for 180 days for marijuana possession, marijuana paraphernalia and exhaust.
Chad D. Williams, 33, state Route 45, West Point, was fined $200 and sentenced to five days in jail for theft for concealing $98 in merchandise at Walmart on Dec. 9 and leaving without paying.
Krista J. Yorty, 18, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was fined $150 and required 30 hours community service for complicity to commit theft for serving as look out while her friend concealed $29 in merchandise and left Walmart in Salem without paying on Oct. 28.
Viktor Lebed, 43, Parma, was fined $150 for 337.02 of the Lisbon village code. The charge was amended from driving off a state route.
Brandon L. Kastor, 20, Fink Road, Summitville, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct amended from criminal trespassing for going onto his estranged wife’s property when he has been told not to go there.
Rosella P. Tope, 69, Magnolia, was fined $150 for unsafe vehicle amended from speeding.
Abraham J. Melnick, 18, West Calla Road, Salem, was fined $150 for an equipment violation amended from failure to control.
A receiving stolen property charge against Christopher A. Carroll, 25, Youngstown, was dismissed. Carroll had been accused of selling a stolen ring, which was given to him by a friend to sell.
Gloria E. Lykens, 23, East High Street, Leetonia, was fined $130 for driving under FRA suspension and lighted lights required.
Tammy Johnson, 46, East Main Street, Salineville, was fined $100 for driving under suspension and fictitious plates.
Kevin W. Short, 40, Desellem Road, Lisbon, was fined $100 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension.
A Feb. 20 pretrial was set for Athena A. Nicholas, 43, state Route 45, Salem, cited with disorderly conduct while intoxicated for allegedly yelling outside a South Broadway bar in Salem on Sunday while police were investigating another incident.
A March 6 court trial was set for Dennis W. Smith, 28, Avondale Street, East Liverpool, cited with a seat belt violation.
Christopher C. Linert, 25, state Route 170, East Palestine, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days and was ordered to attend a three-day counseling program for OVI first offense and lane violations.
Zachery Donald John Lough, 22, French Street, Damascus, was fined $675, had his license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to attend a three-day school for OVI first offense and failure to control.
Joshua R. Elerick, 18, Ridge Street, Leetonia, was fined $325, sentenced to attend a three-day counseling program and had his license suspended 240 days for OVI underage and failure to control.
Jared L. Barton, 19, Ridgewood Drive, Salem, was fined $250, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to 10 days in jail for underage consumption.
