Glenn D. Bates, 28, Bradshaw Avenue, was charged with vandalism and disorderly conduct/fighting after an officer on patrol reported seeing him get out of a vehicle outside the Oasis Cafe and throw an object at the windows of the business and several people standing outside. Another man, Aaron Hook, no age or address listed, reportedly ran into the street to confront Bates and a fight ensued. Hook told police Bates had been inside the bar and an altercation arose, then Bates left and returned with the piece of concrete he threw.
An officer reported Sunday afternoon seeing a man leave a Morton Street house about which numerous complaints have been received regarding drug activity. The man entered the passenger side of a Jeep which took off quickly and was seen turning without a turn signal, according to reports. The driver, Marcus Prendes, 24, Iowa Street, Wellsville, was found to have no driver’s license, and the vehicle was towed. Inside the center console, a hypodermic needle was reportedly found, and Prendes was cited for driving under suspension, no turn signal and possession of drug abuse instruments.
Jenny L. Olmstead, 47, Avondale Street, was charged Sunday night with theft after Giant Eagle employees reported seeing her take something. A cashier stopped her outside, and Olmstead reportedly handed him seafood and a candy bar.
