Columbiana County Municipal Court for 3-1
In Columbiana County Municipal Court on Thursday, Kathryn L. Fisher, 32, Washington Street, Salem, waived her right to a preliminary hearing and was bound over to the Common Pleas Court grand jury on an illegal possession of a firearm in a liquor establishment charge. According to court documents, Fisher had a loaded .22 caliber handgun and a loaded .45 caliber handgun both in her purse, while she was intoxicated. A witness reportedly told Salem police Fisher and a passenger in her vehicle had brandished a handgun while inside the Foxes Den night club on Jan. 1.
Henry Parks, 54, Middle Beaver Road, Lisbon, was fined $1,025, had his license suspended for a year and was sentenced to 163 days in jail for OVI second offense, driving under suspension, unsafe vehicle and speeding. A license requirement citation was dismissed.
Joseph W. Schossler, 33, Akron, was fined $1,025, had his license suspended for six months, required 30 hours community service and sentenced to seven days in jail for OVI first offense and open container. A turn signal violation was dismissed.
Keith Hilderbrand Jr., 23, Campbell Road, Hanoverton, was fined $675, sentenced to three days in jail and had his licenses suspended for 180 days for OVI first offense and failure to control.
Daniel R. Ree, 49, McClure Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $600, had his license suspended for six months and required 20 hours community service for driving under suspension, failure to control, drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Roger J. Higgins Jr., 30, Wilson Street, Salem, was fined $400 and required 40 hours community service for hit skip, a stop sign violation and no license amended from driving under suspension.
William M. Alford Jr., 38, North Lincoln Avenue, Salem, was fined $250 and required 20 hours community service for abusing harmful intoxicants after he was found in September by customers at Walmart sitting in a vehicle inhaling a substance from a can, with another full can in his possession and 19 empty cans on the floor of the vehicle.
Melissa G. Doyle, 28, U.S. Route 62, Salem, was fined $250 for failing to stop for a school bus.
Kristine D. Meyer, 28, Wooster, was credited with one day served for obstructing official business for providing police with a bogus name and date of birth in 2007.
Stephen R. Morris, 38, state Route 172, Lisbon, was fined $100 for obstructing official business for refusing to cooperate with a deputy requesting his Social Security number. An April 4 pretrial was set for Morris’ father, Holbert S. Morris, 67, state Route 172, Lisbon, charged with resisting arrest and disorderly conduct for allegedly refusing to listen to deputy orders while the deputy was at the Morris residence on Tuesday to speak to them about horses being kept on the property.
Rachelle Hanevious, 36, Franklin Avenue, Salem, was fined $100 and credited with 33 days in jail served for domestic violence. Court documents state Hanevious on Nov. 19, struck her boyfriend Nicholas E. Korda in the left side of the head with a portable shower head, leaving him bleeding and seeking treatment at the Salem Community Hospital.
Edward B. Bailey, 29, Grant Street, Lisbon, was fined $100 and required 20 hours community service for failure to reinstate a license and expired plates.
Michelle Satmare, 19, Artistic Street, East Liverpool, was fined $100 and had her license suspended for 180 days for possession of marijuana.
A March 7 pretrial was set for Jeremy A. Bender, 35, East Perry Street, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his father on Saturday.
A March 28 pretrial was set for Allen W. Lippiatt, 27, Youngstown, cited with driving with a temporary permit without an eligible driver and one way traffic.
A March 28 pretrial was set for Cierra N. Sokol, 18, Beaver Creek Road, Salem, charged with possession of instruments to ingest or inhale a controlled substance.
An April 4 pretrial was set for John P. Smollen Sr., 54, East Street, East Palestine, cited with driving under suspension and assured clear distance.
