Lisbon Police Reports 2-28

A security alarm went off at the Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home at 11 p.m. Monday. Police arrived and found the building secure.

Sandy Reynolds, North Beaver Street, reported Monday that Katelynn Trimluto used her finger to write an obscenity, the word “loser” and a smiley face in the dirt on her vehicle, which was witnessed by her son. Police attempted to contact Trimluto but were unsuccessful.

Police were called to the area of state Routes 154 and 11 in regard to a natural gas smell at 7:06 p.m. Monday.

A clerk at the Valley View reported someone in a silver Impala drove off without paying for $49 in gas at 4:19 p.m. Tuesday.

Renee Eichler, 27, Howard Street, Hanoverton, was driving on state Route 154 just east of Carter Lumber when she struck a utility pole while trying to get out of the way of a vehicle she mistakenly believed was turning. The accident occurred at 4:24 pm. Tuesday.

A resident of Applegrove Apartments called for an officer at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday because a female neighbor keeps knocking on his door and asking for stuff. The officer was unable to contact the woman.

A clerk at Smith Oil reported at 10 p.m. Tuesday they believe a customer shoplifted something from the store because they could see something in the customer’s pocket. Police spoke with the customer, who denied stealing anything.

Patty from the Kendall House called at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday for an officer because they were preparing to send someone for a mental hospitalization and she was concerned he might cause problems.

Danielle M. McClain, 31, of Columbiana, was backing up to make room for a turning semi-truck when she struck a car operated by Christine L. Wellman, 45, of East Liverpool, at the intersection of East Lincoln Way and Jackson Street at 12:08 p.m. Monday.
