Food distribution set
WELLSVILLE — Wellsville Schools, in a cooperative project with Second Harvest Food Bank of the Mahoning Valley, plans a second food distribution to any person in the community this Friday, March 22, from 10 a.m. to noon.
Like the first food giveaway last Christmas season, the event is to be held in the back junior-senior high school parking lot.
This one differs in that it is a drive-through. Students and community volunteers will load boxes pre-packed with a selection of food into the vehicles as they drive through the parking lot, according to Supt. Richard Bereschik. The pre-packed boxes is also a change from the first distribution.
There are no eligibility criteria to meet. Second Harvest distributes USDA commodities and donated food in the three-county area of Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana.
