Zoning appeals board OKs request

EAST LIVERPOOL — Members of the city Board of Zoning Appeals voted unanimously in favor of a request that will allow for enlargement of a Dresden Avenue dwelling.

Petitioners Melissa and Rich Wymer, Shadyside Avenue, requested approval for relief of minimum lot width, lot area, rear yard setback distance and off-street parking spaces as well as conversion of the dwelling from a two-residential unit to a three-residential unit. The structure is located at 800 Dresden Ave. A second request that was scheduled to be heard at the public hearing was not held after the petitioner, Heritage Transport LLC, Saint George Street, failed to have any representatives present.

The company was requesting approval for relief of minimum rear yard setback distance to allow for construction of a new building.

The property has a zoning classification of M-3, Industrial, which requires a setback distance of 40 feet from the rear property line.
