LaCroft fourth graders in Mrs. Byrne’s, Mrs. Ramsey’s, and Mrs. Pridemore’s class participated in a fun service learning project. These students designed and created soaps which they sold within the school in order to help raise money for the local F.I.S.H. (Friends In Service Helping) organization. The students raised over $250 to donate to help local families. Mr. Caryle Buck, a representative from the F.I.S.H. organization, explained to the students that for each $15 of cash they receive, F.I.S.H. can purchase about $100 of food to distribute to qualifying families in need. F.I.S.H. is a non-profit assistance program which is run by volunteers. Funding for this project was provided by the East Liverpool City Schools Education and Scholarship Fund. (Submitted photo)
