Members of the Wellsville wrestling program, ranging from the Tiger Mites to its varsity squad, started their Thanksgiving Day with a fun run throughout the village as they celebrated the Turkey Trot Thursday morning. The mile-long run gives the close-to-two dozen who ran an opportunity to have their workout while holding off on practice for the holiday. A longtime Wellsville wrestling team tradition, this marked the second year of the run since it was revived last year by current head coach/Board of Education member Gary Althiser, following a decade-long hiatus. The runners started off at Nicholson Stadium and ran in between water breaks at Garfield Elementary, the former pottery factory on Commerce Street, the Wellsville First Christian Church on Main Street  and the Wellsville Post Office down the street from the church.
