Secret indictments served on six with drug charges

LISBON — Six people accused of drug-related crimes were amount those served secret indictments by the Columbiana County grand jury in November.

Curtis D. Holland, 20, West Fourth Street, East Liverpool, was served a secret indictment for a possession of drugs charge with a forfeiture specification. Holland is accused on June 21 of having at least five grams, but less than 10 grams of heroin, along with $786 believed connected to drug-related crimes.

Brandon L. Barnes, 20, state Route 154, Lisbon, was served a secret indictment for a possession of drugs charge for allegedly having less than the bulk amount of hydrocodone on June 15.

Hilary Jo Batenburg, 35, Rayland, was served a secret indictment for two counts of possession of drugs for allegedly having less than a gram of heroin on both March 16 and March 17.

Joshua J. Coil, 31, Steubenville Pike, Lisbon, was served a secret indictment for a possession of drugs charge for allegedly having less than the bulk amount of oxycodone on March 17.

Zachary K. Humphreys, 23, Sunnyside Road, East Liverpool, was served a secret indictment for charges of possession of drugs and tampering with evidence. Humphreys allegedly had less than five grams of crack cocaine, which he tried to hide from investigators on April 2.

Jeffrey A. Mullings, 26, Vine Street, Salem, was served a secret indictment for possession of drugs for allegedly having less than the bulk amount of tetrahydrocannibinal.
