Resumes being accepted

WELLSVILLE — The Village of Wellsville is currently accepting resumes for individuals who wish to serve on the Advisory Commission for the village during its period of Fiscal Emergency, to which the village was placed last Tuesday by the state auditor’s office. Interested parties may drop off their resumes at Wellsville Village Hall, located on Main Street, to the attention of either Fiscal Officer Hoi Wah Black or to Mayor’s Secretary Jennifer Soldano. All resumes must be submitted by 4 p.m. Nov. 28.

Members re-appointed to library board

EAST LIVERPOOL — City Council approved the re-appointment of four members to the Carnegie Public Library Board at its meeting Monday night.

At the request of President of Council John Torma, council agreed to reappoint Robert Bloor, John Fisher, Colleen Vanleeuwen and Linda Ziegler to terms which will end in December 2020.

The approval was unanimous, with Councilman Tom Cunningham absent.

Columbiana County dog licenses

LISBON — Columbiana County dog licenses for 2017 will be on sale Dec. 1 through Jan. 31. The cost is $10 and the license can be purchased online at the county auditor’s office website. A three-year license for $30 or lifetime license for $100 can only be purchased in the auditor’s office. Visa, MasterCard and Discover credit cards, along with debit cards, checks and money orders, are accepted at the auditor’s office and dog pound, while electronic transactions are available online for existing account holders. There are only three other locations in the county where licenses can be purchased in person: Milligan’s True Value Hardware in East Liverpool, Fuller’s True Value in East Palestine and Pure Pet in Salem.
