Two charged following assaults

EAST LIVERPOOL — A 16-year-old Wellsville girl and her mother were both charged by city police Friday in connection with an incident earlier this week that sent three women to the hospital.

The teenager was charged in Juvenile Court with two counts of felonious assault and one count of criminal damaging after she reportedly stabbed Desarae M. Callehan, 21, North Shady Lane and her sister, Diane L. Callehan, 23, North Shady Lane, with a knife in the parking lot of the housing complex and vandalized two vehicles with writing and food.

The girl’s mother, Misty R. Williams, 40, Main Street, was charged with assault after allegedly attacking 18-year-old Breanna N. Shreve, North Shady Lane, during the same incident, placing her fingers in Shreve’s nostrils and pulling up her nose, ripping the skin.

All three victims were taken to the hospital, where Desarae Callehan received several stitches in her neck and arm.

One of the damaged vehicles belonged to Shreve, while the other was a rental car, according to police.

Previous accounts listed the juvenile as 17 years old, but she is 16, according to police reports which show her birthday is in November.
