Lisbon crash claims life of Rogers man

LISBON – A single-vehicle crash on state Route 7 in Lisbon that claimed one life and sent another to a Pittsburgh hospital on Wednesday evening remains under investigation.

The driver of the Ford pickup truck, identified as Jack Artrup, 43, of Rogers, was pronounced dead at the scene. The passenger, Pamela Bradds, 45, also of Rogers, was extricated from the wreckage and flown by STAT MedEvac to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. The landing zone for the helicopter was at Beaver Creek Par 3 Golf Course, approximately one mile south of the accident scene.

According to OSHP Sgt. Craig Mont, the truck, which was traveling north on Route 7 shortly before 6 p.m., veered off the right side of the road and bounced off a guardrail, crossed over the center line and exited the left side of the road, striking trees and flipping before coming to rest upside-down in a shallow roadside ditch.

Several units from the Lisbon Fire Department responded to the crash scene, along with state troopers and ambulances from North Star EMT and Tri-County Ambulance. Local residents blocked traffic on Route 7 at Little Beaver and Bear Hollow roads while first responders and accidents investigators worked at the crash site past 7 p.m.
