Businesses seek various liquor licenses

CALCUTTA — Two St. Clair Township businesses will be turning to precinct voters Nov. 8 to gain approval for the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Dunne Manning Stores, which operates as UniMart No. 4762, and the El Paso Mexican Grille are seeking varying types of liquor licenses for their businesses during this general election. Both businesses are located along state Route 170 in Calcutta.

UniMart, located in the St. Clair Southwest precinct, is seeking approval of two licenses — one involves the sale of beer, wine and mixed beverages to take place Monday-Saturday, while a second involves the sale of wine and mixed beverages to take place between 11 a.m. and midnight Sunday.

El Paso Mexican Grille, located in Dunham’s Plaza, already has a liquor license for Monday-Saturday sales, and now is seeking voter approval in the Calcutta Precinct for the sale of beer, wine, mixed beverages and spirituous liquor between 10 a.m. and midnight on Sunday.
