GLENMOOR — TOPS 1341 met at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church April 18 with leader Marlene Reynolds opening with the pledges. Best losers were Cassie Ensinger and Reynolds and runner-up was Darlene Naukam.
Drawing winners were: calorie chart, Janice Hutchin; weight loss, Dorothy Garn; junk food, Pat Johnson; and 50/50, Reynolds. New no-nos are french fries and eating after 7 p.m.
Pat Allison and Marwynne Serafy were in the loser’s book three times. All names went back in the check contest. Allison and Lydia Kraft have the travel boxes.
Winner of the “Quick and Easy” contest was Hutchin with 32 points and runner-up was Kraft with 28 points. TOPS awards given at the annual ceremony went to Ensinger and Kraft. Others recognized were Serafy, Kraft, Reynolds, Dena White and Cathy Wollam. Centerpiece winners were Ensinger, Garn, Jane Proctor, Marlene Smith, Darla Varney and White. Concerns were shared. The meeting closed with The Lord’s Prayer. Interested visitors are welcome from 5-6:30 p.m. each Monday.
EAST LIVERPOOL — TOPS 2231 met at Always Best Care, 1324 St. Clair Ave., on April 9, with co-leader Carolyn Hager presiding. The meeting opened with the TOPS and KOPS pledges and roll call.
Pam Fouse read the secretary report and Cassy Stephens read the treasurer report. Both were approved as read.
Anita Kukich was the KOPS best loser. KOPS in leeway are Kukich, Hager, Stephens, Tonnie Slagle and Verla Betteridge. Three weeks in leeway are Kukich and Hager. Six weeks in leeway are Slagle and Stephens.
The no-nos are pop, cookies and no eating after dinner.
Betteridge won the calorie, charts Kukich won the dimes and Fouse won the 50/50.
Kukich read an article on “Benefits of Exercise.”
The meeting closed with prayer requests followed by the Lord’s Prayer. New and former members are always welcome at 5 p.m. on Tuesdays.
