New board member joins Retired Teachers Association

LISBON — The Columbiana County Retired Teachers Association prepares for the 2018-2019 programs with its newest board member, Loretta Davidson. She replaces Colleen McCoy who served on the Board of Directors for the past two years. The Board of Directors plan informative programs that were requested by its members. Programs include valuable updates on their State Teachers Retirement System’s pension and health care funds along with topics of local interest. CCRTA supports area organizations such as the Christina House in Lisbon. Their new initiative supports county educators with classroom grant opportunities. The Board of Directors encourages and invites all Columbiana County retired educators to their first meeting to take place at noon Thursday, Sept. 20 in the United Methodist Church, East Washington St., Lisbon.
