KIDS STEM UNIVERSITY

Anna Marie Vaugh (left), superintendent of the Columbiana County Educational Service Center, and Dr. David Dees, dean of the Kent State Columbiana County campuses, recently put the finishing touches on plans for the first-ever STEM University, scheduled 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday on the Kent State-Salem campus. The day will feature hands-on activities for Pre-K through grade 5 and their families. The free activities will highlight, in fun ways, the use of science, technology, engineering and math in many types of businesses, careers and organizations. (Submitted photo)
