Church Briefing
CHESTER — The Chester Church of the Nazarene, 3rd Street, will remember and honor their deceased members that have passed away this year. A special PowerPoint presentation will be shown and Memorial roll certificates will be given to some of the families. Recognition to our military families will also be honored. Morning worship service begins at 10:40 a.m. Sunday school at 9:30.
EAST LIVERPOOL — Emmanuel Presbyterian Church will celebrate communion this Trinity Sunday, with Elder Beth Schmitt, during the 11 a.m. worship service. Student Pastor Nancy DeStefano will deliver her sermon titled “The Spirit of Adoption”. The Agape Choir will sing “Simple Gifts”. Sunday school begins at 9:30.
GLENMOOR — The Glenmoor ECO Presbyterian Church, state Route 267 (Lisbon Street) will observe Trinity Sunday and Memorial Day with “a time of remembrance”, during the 11 a.m. service of worship. Pastor Vel Vais’ topic is “A Most Precious Doctrine” with the text from Matthew 28:16-20 and 2 Corinthians 13:11-14. Children’s Church and Nursery Care are provided. The church is handicap accessible.
EAST LIVERPOOL — Mr. Rick Stanley will be the guest speaker during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church. His sermon title will be “Grow in the Spirit” from the book of Acts. Children’s Sunday School is held during the service. The Youth group meets 6 p.m. Thursday.
CALCUTTA — Worship service begins 10:30 a.m. at Long’s Run Trinity Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer’s sermon is titled “Dazzling Visions”, with scripture from Isaiah 6 and Romans 8. Nursery available during the service for Kindergarten-under.
