EAST LIVERPOOL — The East Liverpool / Calcutta Area Garden Club Members Workshop for the annual Plant Sale is 9 a.m. to noon April 20, at St. Stephen’s Church on Fourth Street. Bring $10 for your donation for a flat of flowers. Bring old shovels, pitchforks, gardening utensils, bags of soil, Elmer’s glue and gloves and any other item that would be nice to make arrangements.
The Plant Sale is set for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 12 at St. Stephen’s.

WELLSVILLE — The First Baptist Wellsville will conduct a couples workshop from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 14. The event is open to married couples and those couples who are in a serious relationship leaning toward marriage.
If one mate cannot attend, the other is welcome to come alone. Registration will begin at 8:30 Breakfast and lunch provided. A free will offering will be taken.

LISBON — The Columbiana County Mental Health and Recovery Services Board, along with the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, the Ohio Governor’s office and the Office of the Ohio Attorney General are partnering to host a Week of Appreciation throughout Ohio from April 9-15, 2018.
The goal is to highlight the work being done in communities throughout Ohio to address the opiate epidemic and to specifically show appreciation to EMTs, Police, Fire, Providers and other frontline workers for the tremendous work going on to address the opiate epidemic in our county.
A Public gathering to highlight the work being done in Columbiana County to address the opiate epidemic and to show appreciation to frontline workers will take place 11 a.m. today at the Gazebo in downtown Lisbon (across from the County Courthouse)
In addition to reading the Governor’s Proclamation, the Certificate of Appreciation from the Ohio Attorney General, and the County MHRS Board Resolution, this will be an opportunity to publicly thank those who have helped in the fight against the opioid epidemic.
In addition, the event will launch the Columbiana County Hub to Combat Opioid Addiction, as called for in the State’s biennial budget. These Hubs will help to expand and strengthen local efforts to eradicate Ohio’s opioid epidemic
