CALCUTTA — Long’s Run Trinity Presbyterian Church will celebrate the Third Sunday of Lent during the 10:30 a.m. worship service Sunday. Sunday School begins at 9:30. Classes are available for all ages. The Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer’s sermon is titled “Top Ten”, with scripture based from Exodus 20 and John 2. The choir, under the direction of Carol Walton and Holly Pickens, will be singing “Ah Holy Jesus”. John McGraw will be the accompanist. Nursery will be available during the service. Choir practice will take place after the service.
The annual Easter Pageant practice is 2 p.m. at the East Liverpool Community Center. Bell choir practice is Tuesday

SALEM — A comprehensive blood screening, provided by Salem Regional Medical Center’s Laboratory Services, in partnership with the Columbiana Family Care Center, will take place March 17 at the CFCC, Carriage Drive, Firestone Farms, Columbiana. Cost of comprehensive screening is $45. Participants may add prostate specific antigen screening for additional $12; or HgA1C diabetes screening for additional $28. CHESTER — Winter decorations from graves at Locust Hill Cemetery must be removed before March 15. This includes Christmas decorations and any tattered or old flowers. Items remaining after this date will be removed and disposed. Spring/Summer decorations may be placed after April 1.
CHESTER — In keeping with the theme of this year’s religious education classes, “Living as Missionary Disciples,” the ladies of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chester will be holding a cabbage roll sale. Proceeds benefit the adopted mission in Tanzania. The carryout sale follows the 5 p.m. Mass on March 17 and the 11 a.m. Mass on March 18. Cost is $1.50 each. SALEM — The Columbiana County Association of Family and Consumer Sciences is offering a $200 scholarship to students residing in Columbiana County or a bordering county (Mahoning, Jefferson, Stark or Carroll). This is for a college junior or senior majoring in Family and Consumer Sciences; Home Economics or a related field such as dietetics, nutrition, child development, housing, culinary arts or interior design. A student who has completed half of a 2-year program in this field or completing post graduate work may also apply.
