CCCTC Sophomore Showcase Night set for today

LISBON — The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center is hosting its annual Sophomore Showcase Night 5-7 p.m. today. Current sophomores in Columbiana County schools and their parents invited.

During the program, attendees will see displays of the programs and academics; meet the lab and academic instructors; visit labs and classrooms where an overview of the programs and academic offerings will be given and any questions can be answered; tour the building and labs of interest; partake in light refreshments; and enter drawings for door prizes including a Google Chromebook.

All visitors entered into door prize drawings.These will be awarded at 6:45 Any student and parent who visits the science or English classrooms to talk with academic instructors and/or to receive help signing up for enrollment during the 2018-19 school year will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win one of two Google Chromebooks. Drawing for Google Chromebooks at 6:50.

In addition, any student that signs up to attend the CCCTC for the 2018-19 school year by April 1, 2018, will be entered into a drawing to win one of two Samsung Chrome Book Tablets. This drawing is April 2.

School instruction includes Auto Collision Repair, Automotive Technology, Construction Technology, Cosmetology, Culinary Careers, Health Academy, Information Technology Academy, Interactive Multimedia, Landscape and Environmental Design, Lodging Services, Precision Machining and Manufacturing, Veterinary Technology, and Welding. Core academic areas in English, math, science, and social studies also included. Intervention specialists available to assist students who may have an individual education plan (IEP).
