The Columbiana County Career and Technical Center recently held its second annual opening ceremonies, local skills competitions, and closing awards ceremony for the three student skills organizations, SkillsUSA, Business Professionals of America (BPA), and Future Farmers of America (FFA). Winners of the local competitions will move on to regional competitions. The BPA regional competition results were awarded Feb. 6, 2018. The FFA regional competitions occur throughout the year. The SkillsUSA regional competitions will be held March 3 at the Trumbull County CTC. This year the CCCTC implemented a Career Tech Student Organization Challenge to encourage students to become involved in the individual lab competitions. Precision Machining and Manufacturing were crowned the Team Champions for this challenge at the closing awards ceremony.
