EAST LIVERPOOL — Church Women United members of District E, part of the Ohio Division, will be celebrating its annual 2017 World Community Day at Grace Presbyterian Church, Virginia Street, East Liverpool. Enter through rear door to fellowship center. Theme is “Kindling New Fires for Peace.” All churches welcome. The presiding officer, Marilyn Wagner, and other members of her church will plan, present and host services at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 3. Assistance, if needed, will be provided by Church Women United Board members Judy Kidder, former president; Phyllis Bosworth, treasurer; Donna Stevens, former secretary; and Mary Carter, secretary.

CHESTER — Oak Glen Boys Basketball Boosters is holding the 3rd annual “Night at the Races” on Saturday, Nov. 4, at American Legion Post 121, Carolina Avenue, Chester. Doors open at 5 p.m., buffet style dinner 5:30- 6:30, and races start at 7. Admission at the door is $10 and includes dinner and dessert. A chinese auction and 50/50 raffle available. WELLSVILLE — A soup and sandwich dinner served noon to 6 p.m. Nov. 7 at Oak Ridge Presbyterian Church. Menu includes a variety of soups, sandwich and dessert with beverage. Donations accepted, to support our Ministry to the World Mission Projects. Carryout available and soup by the quart.

EAST LIVERPOOL — A spaghetti dinner served 4-7 p.m. Saturday at Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, Park Boulevard. Menu includes spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and a tin roof sundae for dessert. Cost is $7. Carryout available.

WELLSVILLE — A Veterans Day assembly will take place 10 a.m. Nov. 11 in the Wellsville High School gymnasium. All local veterans invited. Free lunch will follow the service. Call 330-532-1188 before Nov. 7 for reservations.

LISBON — Toddler Free Play for ages 1-3 is 11 a.m. every Monday in November at Lepper Library, Lisbon. The time provides children a time to interact with each other while playing with developmentally appropriate toys and craft materials. Toddler and Preschool storytime is 10 a.m. every Wednesday through November, beginning today, at Lepper Library, Lisbon.
