DaLonzo graduates from Ohio State
WELLSVILLE – Nicholas J. DaLonzo of Wellsville recently graduated from The Ohio State University in Columbus, with two bachelor of art degrees. One degree in Film Studies and a second in Strategic Communication. He finished with a cumulative GPA of 3.504, and was recognized with Cum Laude Honors.
While at Ohio State he stayed extremely busy, maintaining a job as an Assistant for Special Collections at Ohio State’s Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum, which is home to the world’s largest collection of newspaper tear sheets and comic strips. He also kept a second job as an on-campus marketing representative for Universal Pictures, where he created original marketing strategies involving their films, and brought unique opportunities to the students. His tenure at Ohio State also brought him a marketing, communications, and operations internship with the Fashion Meets Music Festival, and production assistant roles with the Alternative Press Music Awards and CNN.
His final year on campus gave him a new leadership role as the co-director of marketing for the Ohio Union Activities Board. In this role he helped market over 300 events to the student body during the school year, while also helping mentor the organization’s 170 general members. Under his and his peers’ direction the organization brought in a record attendance, surpassing 100,000 total students for the very first time.
A 2012 graduate of Wellsville High School, he is the son of Nick and Jacki DaLonzo of Wellsville. He recently accepted a job offer with Marvel Studios as a Location Assistant in Atlanta, Ga.
