Reign ends

MyLinda Kimball, a Hancock County resident will take her final walk as Mrs. Appalachian Festival Queen on Aug. 5, 2017 at Beckley, W.Va. During her reign she has traveled from Pennsylvania to South Florida representing her title, and was awarded Festival Queen of the Year for making over 60 appearances, while promoting Appalachian Festival. She also promoted Bark in the Park, Vest for K-9’s, Toys for Tots, Women Health Care, Walk Against Heroin and donating Prom Gowns through her charity event “Fairy Godmother Donation Closet”, to the students of Southern West Virginia that lost their homes and schools from June 2016 floods. Ms. Kimball is a 1988 graduate from Ritchie County High School, and resides in New Cumberland, with her husband Blaine. (Submitted photo)
