EAST LIVERPOOL — Vacation Bible School “Upward Bound” will take place 5:30-8 p.m. July 16-20 at 1st United Methodist Church, West 5th Street, for ages 4 years to 5th grade (completed). The theme is a “backpacking” expedition following Christ’s epic journey to win our salvation. Call the church office for details at 330-385-5269.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Emmanuel Presbyterian Church welcomes Student Pastor Nancy DeStefano to the pulpit during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. Her sermon is titled “Law of the Spirit”. Special music will be performed by guest vocalist Andrea Disch.

GLENMOOR — Glenmoor Presbyterian Church, Lisbon Street, will observe the Sacrament of the Lord’s Supper this Sunday during the 10 a.m. service of worship. Allison Miller will provide the music on the harp. Pastor Vel Vais’ message is titled, “The Bread of Life” with the text from John 6:24-35. Children’s Church is provided during the service. The church is handicap accessible and the sanctuary is air-conditioned.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mr. Tom Gualtier will be the guest speaker during the 10 a.m. service Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church. His sermon title will be “God’s Word Is Our Guide”. Children’s Sunday School is held during the service.

NEW CUMBERLAND — Nessly Chapel United Methodist Church, state Route 2, by the backwaters, will have a special dedication service for the new chapel that was built in their cemetery, 9:30 a.m. Sunday at the church. WV Bishop Sandra Steiner Ball and Northern District Superintendent Martha Ognibene will be present for the ceremony. Lunch served after the service. Public welcome.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Rev. Larry S. Hukill will delivery the message “Dishing the Dirt”, during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at First United Methodist Church, W. 5th Street. The Scripture Lesson will be read by Becky Anderson. Becki Smith will share her musical talent. It’s “Little Red Wagon” Sunday. VBS begins Sunday 5:30-8 p.m. and continues through July 20.
