Church Briefing

EAST LIVERPOOL — Emmanuel Presbyterian Church welcomes Student Pastor Nancy DeStefano to the pulpit during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. Her sermon is titled “God’s Rescue Mission”. Special music will be presented by Flutist Pat Will.

CHESTER — “Mega Sports Camp”, Conquer, will take place 6-8 p.m. July 10-14 for grades K-6th, at First United Methodist Church, Carolina Ave., Chester. Dinner will be served each evening along with a sport and prize.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Rev. Larry S. Hukill will present the message “Come to Me”, during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at First United Methodist Church, W. 5th Street. The Scripture Lesson will be read by Becki Smith. During the service, Bob Walker will present a vocal solo.

Boy Scout Troop 41 meets 7 p.m. Tuesday.

VBS will take place 5:30-8 p.m. July 16-20. Volunteers are needed.

GLENMOOR — Glenmoor Presbyterian Church, Lisbon Street, will have a guest speaker, Alan Boone, this Sunday during the 10 a.m. service of worship. Kenny Mattern will provide the music. Children’s Church is held during the service. The church is handicap accessible and the sanctuary is air-conditioned.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Holy Communion will be celebrated during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at Long’s Run Presbyterian Church, following Reverend Cramer’s sermon “Eating and Rejoicing”. The sermon is based on scriptures Genesis 24 and Matthew 11. Andrew and Lauren McCarty will provide special music for worship.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Rev. John Bower will be the guest speaker during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church. His sermon title will be “Struggling with Sin”.

EAST LIVERPOOL — The Rev. Dr. Stephen Cramer will present the message, “Eating and Rejoicing” during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Maine Blvd. The scriptures for this week are from Genesis 24:42-45 and Matthew 11:18-19. The children’s message will be given by Heather Dissette. The offertory, “The Feast Is Ready” will be sung by the Canticle Choir. All are invited to take part in Communion. Sunday school classes begin at 10. Childcare is provided and the building is handicapped accessible.
