WELLSVILLE — First Baptist Church in Wellsville will host a free couples workshop “Together We Fight” 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 1. Guest speaker is Rev. John Knight of Mount Ararat Baptist Church in Pittsburgh. Lunch provided. All those who are married or in a committed relationship are welcome to attend. A free will offering will be taken. NEW MANCHESTER — New Manchester Volunteer Fire Department fish fry is 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday. Fish, shrimp, chicken available. Dinner is $7. Sandwich is $5. Dinners include coleslaw and french fries or mac-n-cheese wedges. Assorted desserts available. Sides of french fries and mac-n-cheese wedges are $2 each. Coleslaw is 75-cents. SALEM — Salem Regional Medical Center’s Summer Teen Volunteer Program is a 10-week program, June 6 to Aug. 18, which provides teens the opportunity to gain exposure to the healthcare field, provide a service to the community, earn required service hours for school, and gain experience for resumes and college applications.

Summer teen volunteers will assist in various capacities at the hospital, with a minimum requirement of 40 service hours. After every 20 hours completed, volunteers will be eligible to shadow a hospital staff member or clinical professional.

Teen volunteers must be age 14 or older by June 6 and be registered for high school or college with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher. Applications, including a letter of recommendation, required by May 9.
