TOPS Ohio 1341

EAST LIVERPOOL — TOPS Ohio 1341 met Jan. 9 at the Glenmoor Presbyterian Church with leader Dorothy Garn presiding. The meeting opened with the pledges and roll call. Garn then led the group in exercises.

Marlene Reynolds and Barb Kalinowski were best losers with Kitti Phillips the runner-up. Kalinowski won the jackpot and Darlene Naukam the 50/50.

The secretary and treasurers reports were read and approved.

Janice Hutchin lost three times in a row and Pat Allison was three times in the losers book. Garn won the check contest for TOPS and three names remain on for KOPS.

Nicholson and Hutchin were recognized for eight weeks attendance and Jane Proctor for 49 weeks for which she won a prize. Margaret Jackman and Naukam hold the travel boxes. The Christmas Tree Contest ended with winners Hutchin and Marwynne Serafy, and Reynolds the runner-up.

Garn read a letter from area captain Diane Herbert who wishes to visit a meeting during the upcoming year. Allison presented the program. A discussion was held on what helps us lose weight, makes you feel better and importance to keep moving. Cards and concerns were shared.

The meeting closed with the Lord’s Prayer.

Anyone is invited to visit a meeting and see what the club is about. We are a support group that is informational and fun. The club meets Mondays with weigh-ins 4:30-5:25 p.m. and meetings at 5:30.
