EAST LIVERPOOL – The community is invited to help the Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee “continue to improve the mental, physical and spiritual well-being of the patients” at East Liverpool City Hospital by attending its annual fundraiser. The 2106 Singspiration is being held 6 p.m. Sunday, at First Church of the Nazarene in downtown East Liverpool.

The Pastoral Care Department at East Liverpool City Hospital is staffed by a part time Tri-State Chaplaincy secretary and a number of volunteers who visit patients in the hospital to “provide a source of comfort to them.”

“These caring people often are found in your family member’s hospital room; talking, listening and praying with them during a vulnerable time in their lives,” reads a release.

The Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee also provides materials to patients such as daily newspapers, reading glasses, hearing aid batteries, Bibles, rosaries, activity books, coloring books and crayons. They are also available to help the hospital staff during a time of crisis.

Help support the mission of the committee by attending and making a donation at the Singspiration or by writing a check to the Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee and sending it to East Liverpool City Hospital to the attention of the Pastoral Care Office.

City Hospital supports the Tri-State Chaplaincy in many ways, but the cost of comfort items are made possible only through donations from individuals, churches and businesses: this support provides for materials for patients in the hospital and the cost of the program.

The Tri-State Chaplaincy Committee “thanks you in advance for helping to make a difference in the lives of patients and families seeking treatment at East Liverpool City Hospital.”
