WELLSVILLE — Christian Men’s Prayer Breakfast will take place 9 a.m. Saturday at the Living Well Church, Maple Ave. Guest speaker will be Mike Ingole.
LISBON — Family Recovery Center will host a “Tribute to Veterans”, 4 p.m. Nov. 11, around the flagpole on the FRC campus, corner of N. Market Street and Saltwell Road, Lisbon. The Salem AmVets Post 45 will conduct a ceremony to raise a flag donated to the agency by Congressman Bill Johnson, which flew over the Capitol building. Lisbon High School student Aliyah Leyman will perform the National Anthem. The featured speaker is Charles D., a U.S. Army veteran living in recovery. A donor appreciation plaque will also be unveiled, listing all who contributed to the flagpole project. Light refreshments will be served following the ceremony. WEIRTON — “Caring for Community Cats”, a Trap-Neuter-Return Seminar will take place 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 12 at Victorian Hall, 1801 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton. Speakers are Dr. Becky Morrow DVM of Frankie’s Friends Mobile Veterinary Clinic and nationally known TNR expert Toby Franks. Everyone in the Tri-State area is invited. The event is free and no RSVP required. Topic is to learn about humane, non-lethal methods of managing the community cat population for the benefit of humans and cats alike.
