Church Briefing

EAST LIVERPOOL — Emmanuel Presbyterian Church welcomes Nancy DeStefano to the pulpit for the 11 a.m. worship service titled “Doing Holy Work”.  The Agape Choir will sing “Let It Shine”.

The annual Congregational meeting will follow at noon.  All members are encouraged to attend.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Rev. Larry S. Hukill will bring the message during the 10:45 a.m. worship service Sunday at First United Methodist Church, 200 W. 5th Street. His sermon title is “Words and Wisdom”. The Scripture Lesson will be read by Diana Bickar. The choir will present the anthem, “This Is the Time to Be Joyful” during the service. Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes are due.

Monday the Rebekah Joy Circle meets 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday Morning Women’s Bible Study begins at 10 a.m.

Wednesday, the choir meets 6:30 p.m. Bell Choir at 7:30. Orders are due for breakfast rolls, which are being sold by the United Methodist Women.

Thursday is the deadline for articles to be submitted for the December issue of the ‘Voice’ and the Men’s Bowling League meets at 6:30.

William Whitehead, International Concert Organist of Oxford, UK, will perform 7 p.m. Nov. 18 Open to the public. A free will offering will be received.

GLENMOOR — Glenmoor Presbyterian, Lisbon Street, will observe Stewardship Sunday, during the service of worship this Sunday. Also, a time of remembrance in tribute of Veteran’s Day.

Pastor Vel Vais’ message is titled, “Realizing the Danger” with the text from Mark 10:17-31. Nursery care and Children’s Church are available during the service. The church is handicap accessible.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Mr. John Smith will be the guest speaker during the 10 a.m. worship service Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church.  His sermon title will be “”We Have Been Given a Spirit of Power”. Children’s Sunday school will take place during the service.

EAST LIVERPOOL — Trinity Presbyterian Church, 110 Maine Blvd., will celebrate Consecration Sunday beginning with a breakfast sponsored by the Boy Scouts.  Special entertainment will be provided after the breakfast by the “Almost Heaven” duet of Jeff Mercer and Mary Kay Harrold.  The children’s message will be given by Nancy Hall.  Scriptures for this week are Isaiah 65:17-25 and II Thessalonians 3:6-13.  Messages on the topic “Thanks for Trinity” will be presented by Dana Vulgamore, Judy Fannin, Sue Densmore and Donna Todd. The offertory, “A Covenant Prayer” will be presented by the Canticle Choir.  Children and adult Sunday school classes begin at 10: a.m. There are enlarged versions of the bulletin and hearing assisting devices  available upon request. The building is handicapped accessible and child care is provided.
