WELLSVILLE – Tops 1957 of Wellsville met on Aug. 19 at the Living Well Church with leader Martha Baxter opening the meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance, Tops Kops pledges, roll call and then Dee Davis led the group in prayer.
The Tops best loser was Brenda Young and she also wore the officer’s ribbon. Norma Rodgers won the dimes and Beverly Bolton won the calorie chart drawing. Barb Tranter won the 50-50 drawing.
The no no for the week is cookies and candy.
Norma Rodgers donated a very big basket of fresh vegetables from her garden and it was won by Connie Hissam.
The group voted to have the Christmas party at the Dutch House in Columbiana.
Baxter let the group know that Elaine is retiring as our Area Co ordinator. The group signed a card to be sent to her.
Rodgers gave a program on BMI and Smart choices.
Baxter brought in pens for all members to remind them to keep a chart. She also announced that the Fall Rally will be on Oct. 18, 2014.
If anyone wants to go, we need to let her know soon.

WELLSVILLE – Tops 1957 of Wellsville met on Aug. 12 with leader Martha Baxter opening the meeting with the pledge of allegiance, Tops and Kops pledges, roll call and then Dee Davis led the group in prayer.
The Tops best loser was Norma Rodgers, Alice Eckstein was the Kops best loser and Peggy Imburgia wore the officer’s ribbon. Connie Hissam received a charm for losing weight while on vacation. Diane Carnegie and Alice Eckstein were both recognized for having lost weight three weeks in a row. Imburgia also turned in 10 weight loss slips. The inchworm was won by Kim McGurn and Martha Baxter. The 50-50 drawing was won by Diane Carnegie. The no no’s for the week are white bread and all ice cream.
All members are to follow the inspiration calendar until next month. Anyone who follows the calander and has a nice weight loss will receive two weeks’ dues paid.
Diane Carnegie gave a program on Veggie Straws and the difference in calories between them and potato chips.
Tina Green would like copies of pictures for the club’s scrapbook if anyone has any new or old ones that could be added.
Next week, Norma Rodgers will give the program and the group will discuss plans for the Christmas party.

WELLSVILLE – Tops 1957 of Wellsville met on July 5th with new leader, Martha Baxter, opening the meeting with roll call, pledges, and then Dee Davis led the group in prayer.
Baxter was the Tops best loser of the week. Bev Bolton was the Kops best loser and Baxter wore the officer’s ribbon. Tina Green was the Kops best loser for the month of July and Alice Eckstein won the calorie chart drawing. Eckstein also turned in 10 weight loss slips and received a tea towel. The dimes will carry over until next week.
Last week Norma Rodgers and Gladys Buzzard donated a vegetable basket that was won by Connie Hissam. This week Sally Workman donated a basket of home canned goods that was won by Barb Tranter.
Next week the group will discuss the events for Halloween and the Christmas party.
Baxter asked for volunteers to do programs. Next week Diane Carnegie, will do the program followed by Norma Rodgers and Brenda Young for the following two weeks.
Different ideas were discussed for contest and a new one will begin next week.

WELLSVILLE – Tops 1957 of Wellsville met on July 29 at the Wellness Church with leader Connie Hissam opening the meeting with roll call, pledges and then Dee Davis led the group in prayer. The Pledge of Allegiance was cited at the beginning of the meeting. Sally Workman received a clock as a thank you for the picnic last week.
Tops best loser for the week of July 23 was Tina Green and Connie Hissam wore the officer’s ribbon. Tops best loser for this week was Terry Coen and Diane Carnegie was the Kops best loser; and Coen wore the officer’s ribbon. Peggy Imburgia, Workman and Joyce Livolsi were recognized for losing three weeks in a row. The no no for the week is ice cream, chocolate and potato chips.
The annual awards were presented and Coen won Division 2 and received a pinette and a charm bracelet with a charm; Barb Tranter won Division 3 and also received a pinette and charm bracelet. Hissam received a gift from the club for being the leader for the last two years. All past officers received a charm and they were Hissam, Coen, Donna Lee, Brenda Young, Imburgia,Workman, Diane Carnegie, Gladys Buzzard and Livolsi. The outgoing officers also received a pinette and they are Hissam, Coen, Lee, Young, Workman and Imburgia. Other members that were recognized and received awards were Davis, chaplain, Diane Carnegie and Alice Eckstein for measuring, Gladys Buzzard and Norma Rodgers for selling tickets and raffles Green for taking pictures and scrapbook, and Tranter for making calls when needed.
All Kops were recognized and received awards and they were Workman, 15 years; Beverly Bolton, 5 years; Eckstein, 13 years and Carnegie, 3 years. Perfect attendance was achieved by Lee and Eckstein and Lee received her halfway to goal charm.
Elections were held and the new officers are: Martha Baxter, leader; Tranter, co-leader; Lee, treasurer and secretary is Young. The weight records is Peggy Imburgia and Sally Workman.
Meeting was closed with Hisssam wishing all a good week.
