Friends and Family
WELLSVILLE – Tops 1957 met on June 3 at the Living Well Church on 17th Street. The Tops and Kops pledges were led by leader Connie Hissom, after which prayer requests were taken and prayer was led by Dee Davis followed by the Lord’s Prayer.
Tops best loser for the night was Barb Tranter and Kops best loser was Diane Carnegie.
The no-no for the week was chips and ice cream.
Officers ribbon was shared by Peg Imburgia, and Donna Lee.
The 50-50 drawing was won by Bev Bolton, and the dimes will be a hold over.
Flowers were sent to both Norma Rodgers and Lee for being in the hospital.
Best losers for the month of May were first, Tranter; second, Gladys Buzzard; and third, Lee. Tranter received two weeks of dues paid.
A vote was taken for the purchase of a new digital scale and adapter and was passed.
The contest was ended this week with Team 2 as the winners. The winning team got to choose a charity of its choice to donate the winning prize money which was given to Feed the Town, this amounted to $42.
A program by Terry Coen was given, called “When you lose fat.” A discussion followed.
Meeting was closed by Hissom. Members were reminded that there will be no meeting on June 10 due to VBS.
EAST LIVERPOOL -The club met on June 4 at the Peter Metrovich Center in Calcutta with 17 members and one guest present, John Wilkes.
Door prize was won by June McCoy and the 50-50 won by Fred Putnam.
Scripture read by Buck Williams who read from Revelations.
The business meeting was called to order by President June Mullen, who then led the group in the Lord’s Prayer, Pledge to the Flag, Singing of “America,” and the Club Song. Treasurer’s report was read and accepted as read.
Williams was chosen a King for the Day and Alice Richardson as Queen. Thanks to Clendenning Florist for providing flowers for the queen.
The Salem Visiting Nurses were there to check blood pressure for the group.
Lunch was sandwiches provided by Virginia Elman and Dorothy Poole. Table grace was given by Williams.
Next meeting will be 1 p.m. June 18 with members providing pies for dessert – Madylyn Starkey, Marge Tarnovich, and Ellen Michaels.
An auction was held with Williams as auctioneer to raise money for the club.

EAST LIVERPOOL – Tops 1390 met on June 3 with 18 weigh-ins. Mary Ann DeGarmo gave the Tops and Kops pledges.
The weekly best loser was DeGarmo, with runner-up being Vesta Ferlaino.
The no-no for the week is crackers.
The winners of the weekly drawings were: dimes, Dee Kiger; food charts 50-50, Karen Brereton.
Recognitions were: three weeks, Arlene Shuman; six weeks, Mildred Elliott; 10 pounds, DeGarmo.
Check contest, six names left on new check.
The monthly best loser was Robin Rice with runner-up being Debbie Ice.
Christy Hughes celebrated a birthday.
Sharron and Tom Wolfe celebrated an anniversary.
The program was given by Carol Wright on “15 Fascinating Fat Facts.”

Kelly Westling is coming June 17.
The July 29 picnic at the park was discussed.
