EAST LIVERPOOL The City School District Board of Education Personnel Committee will meet at 5 p.m. today, at the Westgate Administrative Center, 810 West Eighth Street.

The purpose of this meeting is to consider matters related to the employment compensation and discipline of School District personnel. It is anticipated that all discussion will occur in executive session.

SALINEVILLE – The Board of Public Affairs will meet 7 p.m. today at Village Hall.

EAST LIVERPOOL – The Beaver Local Leo Club and Elks Lodge No. 258 is hosting a Benefit Spaghetti Dinner from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday at the Elks Lodge, 620 Broadway Street. Proceeds will go toward the treatment of 12 year old Danielle Phillips who has been diagnosed with Leukemia.

EAST LIVERPOOL – A Book and Bake Sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7 at the Masonic Learning Center, 422 Broadway. Proceeds to benefit improvement projects at the Masonic building.

A soup and sandwich dinner will be served from 4-6 p.m. The cost is $4.

SALINEVILLE – The Southern Local Alumni Community Scholarship Foundation is sponsoring a pregame ham dinner 5-7 p.m. Feb. 5 in the Southern Local Elementary Cafeteria. Cost is $7 for ages 12-older,$5 for ages 3-11; and free to children under age 3.

Menu includes ham, baked potato or mac and cheese, green beans, apple sauce, roll, beverage and dessert. Carryout available.

Proceeds used for scholarships to be awarded to graduating seniors at the Alumni Banquet held on May 25 at the school.

LISBON – The VFW Post 4111, E. Lincoln Way, is having a steak fry and dance 8-11 p.m. Feb. 2. Cost is $5 or free with purchase of meal. The band, Cowboy Up, will be performing. Menu also includes salad, baked potato or french fries, roll and coffee. Reservations needed by Feb. 1.
