Lisbon police reports

A police officer on patrol pulled over Michael A. Tuttle for a traffic stop on state Route 45 near O’Reilly Autoparts, which is just outside village limits, at 10:10 p.m. Sunday. After determining his front lights worked on his pickup truck but the tail lights did not, Tuttle returned to his vehicle, at which point he advised the officer he had a concealed-carry permit. Tuttle had an odor of alcohol and told police the handgun was located between the front seats and began to reach for it but was told to stop. Tuttle was ordered from the pickup truck, and when he did he told the officer the firearm was actually on him. Tuttle was then handcuffed and the handgun removed from his coat pocket. Since the stop was outside of town, a state highway patrol trooper arrived and was asked to take over, which the trooper agreed to do.

Daniel L. Taylor, 50, North Beaver Street, was charged with domestic violence and criminal damaging following a disturbance outside his apartment at 12:17 a.m. Sunday. Taylor reportedly threatened his stepdaughter, Brittany N. Harrold, including making a throat-slashing motion after telling her she was done for calling police on him. Harrold was calling police because Taylor was using a metal chair to beat on a parked vehicle belonging to Joseph Anderson, Harrold’s boyfriend. Taylor barricaded himself in the house after removing the deadbolt and would not answer the door when police arrived, so the officer broke in with the help of a sheriff’s deputy. Taylor was found lying in bed under blankets. Meanwhile, an ambulance crew arrived, with the EMTs saying they have transported him to the psychiatric unit before. Taylor refused to go again, so he was taken to the county jail instead.
